Francesco Soderini was a Florentine painter who worked for the Medici. His main commissioner was Anna Maria Luisa, the only daughter of Grand Duke Cosimo III de' Medici. Soderini produced several paintings for her retirement residence, the Villa La Quiete near Florence. In addition, he executed works commissioned by churches, including a fresco for the dome of the now destroyed oratory Santa Maria della Caritá in Florence. Almost nothing is known about his education and his life. His son Mauro was also a painter.
