Adolphe Menjou (1890-1963) was an American actor who started his career in silent films in 1914. Until 1961, he appeared in more than 150 films and also in television shows. He received an Academy Award nomination in 1932 for his role in the film Front Page. Edward Steichen photographed Adolphe Menjou for Vanity Fair shortly after the actor had received an Academy Award nomination, but did not win.
