- Description:
- Formed by an oblong gourd, decorated with four rows of cowrie shells sewn on leather strips which are directed in the direction of height. A leather strap allows the vase to be carried. - Descriptive inventory by Nicolas Van Werveke of the Spring ethnographic collection. N.B.: this is a faithful transcription of Van Werveke's inventory, the terms used in 1898 have not been modified, even those whose use is considered critical today.
