- Description:
- Empire style writing desk with plywood on the outside. Outer corners decorated with two Egyptian figures, the bust of which is separated from the feet of the figure by a black band. Three plywood drawers, of which the top drawer has no lock, while the two bottom drawers have brass locks. A flap door in the centre of the cupboard conceals a series of cherry wood drawers. Six drawers with imitation ivory handles. The top three drawers have a lion's head handle on a diamond-shaped surface, holding a ring. A larger drawer with two imitation ivory handles. In the centre of this section is a mirror in front of a semi-circular marquetry decoration with diamond shapes. There are three secret drawers behind the mirror. The back of the flap door is covered in green velvet. Plywood cornice with a band running around it, but missing on the right-hand side.
