Loretta Young (1913-2000) was an American actress of Luxembourgish descent. She made her acting debut at the age of four in a silent film. As an adult, she quickly became a leading lady. In 1953, she changed to the relatively new medium of television. Through the 1950s and 1960s she had her own television program The Loretta Young Show. Edward Steichen photographed Loretta Young for the October 1932 issue of Vanity Fair.
