Born in Florence, Giuseppe del Moro began his training in the studio of his father Lorenzo. After his father's death, Giuseppe, in1740, continued his studies at the Accademia di Disegno in Florence. From 1778, he was a professor at this academy. Del Moro mainly painted frescoes. He decorated numerous villas and churches in Florence and Pistoia. From 1779 until his death, he frescoed the western corridor in the Uffizi, which burned down completely in a fire in 1862.
