Cristoforo Terzi was a painter from Bologna about whose life and work little is known. He was trained in his home town, lived in Rome for twelve years from 1724 and then returned to Bologna. Terzi specialised in religious painting, which he executed both for churches and for private commissioners. His works can still be found almost exclusively in Bologna, many of them in private ownership.
