- In tanned, blackened skin. In the middle, towards the handle, it narrows to a width of 22cm. The skin is held by a piece of wood and the handle is surrounded by 2 cm straps. - Descriptive inventory by Nicolas Van Werveke of the Spring ethnographic collection. N.B.: this is a faithful transcription of Van Werveke's inventory, the terms used in 1898 have not been modified, even those whose use is considered critical today.
