Works from the 19* century: Three children in a
park, by an unknown painter.
Copy of the altar of the hermitage of Hachiville. The
original is coloured and made of oak-wood. It
dates from the 1* half of the 16 century and was
orobably executed in Brabant. The upper and the
lower parts of the altar relate the joys and sorrows
of the Holy Virgin.
SCULPTURES (17® to 18 centuries)
Show-case: Wooden sculptures (St Dominicus,
Virgin of Sorrow, Angels). Works by Pierre-Joseph
Zedoute (1759-1840).

RECENT ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXCAVATIONS
Findings coming from excavations which have
Jeen made by the National Museum during the last
ten years. Among the most important sites are
Dalheim, the Titelberg, Lellig and Holler-Binsfeld.
Objects found in cremation graves near Nospelt.
Two Gallo-Roman graves from the 1% and the 3'°
zenturies in their original disposition.
CRAFTSMEN
Tools for the working up of wood, iron and leather.
Implements for agriculture, gardening and vini-
sulture. Tools of a mason (trowel, compasses, etc.)
and of a potter (potter’s wheel, iron tools for throw-
‘ng, model of a furnace).
A selection of ”terra sigillata” and ”terra Belgica”
with potters’ stamps. Tiles and elements of a
h1ypocaust. Water-pipes.

Objects found in graves of the Marscherwald.
Brooches from the Titelberg, Mamer and Goeb-
