heart and flower motives. Copper and brass warm-
ing pans.
”KÄERCHER STUFF” (18® century)
Rural living-room of the 18° century with wooden
panelling, an alcove-bed and a cupboard with a
sast iron plate In its lower part (”Täkeschäf”).

Kitchen with a corner-fireplace (16 century).
Three-armed pot-hanger (16/17 century), iron
srown used for smoking meat, etc.
URBAN KITCHEN (18 century)
The living-room (”Stuff”) situated close to the
kitchen was heated by a cast iron plate which was
enclosed in the wall separating these two rooms.
Cupboard from 1750 with a cast iron plate in its
'ower part.
STORE-ROOM (”SPENNCHEN”) AND
HOUSEHOLD UTENSILS
Besides several straw-baskets, which contained
flour, beans, etc., this room shows the most impor-
tant household effects which served to produce
basic victuals such as bread, butter and cheese.
