THE FORTRESS OF LUXEMBOURG
Model of the Bock fortifications (about 1850) and a
copper model realized in 1903 and representing
the defences in 1867 (greatest extension of the for-
tress before its dismantliement after the Treaty of
London).
Weapons for thrusting (pikes and halberds) and ar-
tillery pieces (howitzers, cannons, bombards,
stc.). Show-case A: Tabatiere rifles. Show-case B:
Remington- and Doersch-rifles. Show-case C:
Prussian (needie- or Dreyse guns) and French
