Niccolò Cassana, also known as Nicoletto, was a Venetian painter of the late-Baroque period. He trained in the workshop of his father Giovanni Francesco Cassana. Niccolò Cassana then moved to Florence, where he received several commissions at the Medici court. In Florence, he also met some English noblemen who invited him to England and introduced him to the court of Queen Anne. Cassana executed several portraits of the Queen and became one of her favourite painters. He lived in England until his death.
