Felice Carena studied at Turin’s Accademia Albertina, where he focused mainly on Symbolist art. In 1906, he moved to Rome. He travelled all over Europe to pursue his studies. From 1922, Carena taught art students in Rome, and in 1924, he became a professor at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence. After World War II, he moved to Venice, where he lived for the rest of his life. Carena was awarded numerous prizes, including the Grand Prize of the Venice Biennale in 1940.
