- For snuff tobacco, made of a small calabash and covered with tin foil. The opening is closed up with a wooden plug. - Descriptive inventory by Nicolas Van Werveke of the Spring ethnographic collection. N.B.: this is a faithful transcription of Van Werveke's inventory, the terms used in 1898 have not been modified, even those whose use is considered critical today.
