INTRODUCING SIGGI
AND FORTRESS FUN
A new experience for young adventurers at the Musée Dräi Eechelen
The Musée Dräi Eechelen is proud to present its
latest offering for young visitors: a plucky new
mascot named Siggi and an exciting treasure hunt
experience called Fortress Fun. Designed for children
aged six and up, this initiative blends education,
adventure and history to create an engaging museum
experience for families.
MEET SIGGI: THE NEW FACE OF THE
MUSEUM
Siggi, the tiny and ever so slightly pompous mascot,
was brought to life by A Designers’ Collective. His
character is inspired by Adam Sigmund von Thüngen,
who served as interim commander of the fortress in
the 18th century, while his graphic style is influenced
by the museum’s logo.
More than three centuries ago, Adam Sigmund von
Thüngen played a pivotal role in shaping the fortress
that once defended Luxembourg. Today, Siggi has
been reimagined as a friendly and quirky character
who will guide children on a journey of discovery,
helping them uncover the secrets of the fortress and
its fascinating past.
With his sharp mind and playful demeanor, Siggi
invites young visitors to explore the highlights of
the museum’s collection through a treasure hunt
filled with fun anecdotes and historical insights.
Join him at the museum and discover how this
unique commander transforms history into an
adventure for all ages.
Siggi made his official debut on St Nicholas Day,
marking the beginning of his role as the museum’s
ambassador for family-friendly activities. His arrival
is part of a broader effort to strengthen the museum’s
connection with younger audiences and enhance its
appeal to families.
FORTRESS FUN: AN INTERACTIVE
TREASURE HUNT
At the heart of this new initiative is a treasure hunt
designed to introduce children to the museum’s
permanent collection in an interactive and enter-
taining way. Accompanied by a beautifully illustrated
activity booklet, children will explore the museum,
solve puzzles and collect clues to unravel a special
mystery.
The activity booklet is available in three languages
– English, French and German – and is specifically
