Under our feet - Archaeology in Luxembourg 1995-2010

21.10.2011 - 02.09.2012

Luxembourg's soil contains many traces of our past, from prehistory to recent history. A major archaeological retrospective is on display at the MNHA. It brings together the most important archaeological discoveries made in Luxembourg between 1995 and 2010. The exhibition shows the work of archaeologists and restorers by tracing the journey of an archaeological object from the site where it was discovered to its study, restoration and presentation in the museum. Through a selection of archaeological finds from all periods, the exhibition also explores various themes in the lives of our ancestors: daily life, work, times of crisis, religion and funeral rites.
