Pierre-Ernest de Mansfeld (1517-1604) - A prince of the Renaissance

18.04.2007 - 10.06.2007

The exhibition features over 150 objects from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and the United States. It is divided into six chapters: biographical sketches; politics and territory; the Court of Brussels; art in the service of man; Arcadie in Luxembourg, the Château ‘La Fontaine’; and the donation to the King of Spain. With this exhibition, the MNHA hopes to renew our vision of Luxembourg's past so that we can better situate it in an international context.
